Pakistan is a Muslim country which is situated in South-Asia having an area of 709696 square miles. It came into being in 1947 when it got independence from British rule under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Islamabad is its capital city. Urdu is its national language and Rupee is its currency.
Pakistan has four provinces, namely Balochistan, NWFP (North West Frontier Post), Punjab and Sind. Balochistan is the largest provice in respect of area whereas Punjab is
the biggest province regarding population. Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Queta, Faisalabad and Multan are its famous cities. Karachi is the largest city of Pakistan which is a
coastal city and former capital of Pakistan. Afghanistan, Iran, China and India are neighbouring countries of Pakistan.
